A 5800 Series plotting systemallows a user to define and specify as many as 1024 colors and 1024 linesper plot, or by direct pattern selection, to produce individual plotswith more than 10 million colors.The 5800s employ a nonimpact imaging system that registers imageselectronically -- not mechanically -- to compensate for media shifts andirregularities. CalComp 5800 models accept information in up to 256layers, enabling the user to merge, overlay, and erase data.
